Set details

The set S23 is a very powerful and a great choice for soloists, especially those using a lot of pressure. Due to a certain metallic sound component, it offers a crispy sound with a wide range of overtones. Its broad and full-bodied sound contributes to a strong projection in big halls. The set has an immediate tuning stability while its powerful sound character needs a certain break-in time to fully develop additional roundness. Moreover, the life span is extremely long. Because of their extreme corrosion resistance, these strings are suitable for players who tend to sweat a lot. The Spirocore product line offers many different sizes and tensions which make it suitable for various types of players and levels.

Mix and match

The Spirocore product line consists of many different strings with various sizes and tensions that can be combined to optimize an instruments’ tonal balance. They can be mixed with other Thomastik-Infeld products as well, especially the lower strings – G and C.

The Spirocore G- and C-strings, especially in the light version (weich) – S20W and S24W – combine well with the Rondo strings RO21 and RO22. Together they form a beautifully sounding set with very good bow-response in the upper strings and deep power in the lower ones.
